ATLANTA - Jeff Francoeur and Brian McCann will be among the Atlanta Braves taking part in the team's FanFest 2008 on Saturday and Sunday.
The annual event has been moved from Turner Field to the Georgia World Congress Center and expanded to include more players and activities.
There will be skills clinics, autograph sessions and photo stations, with current and past players participating.
In addition to Gwinnett County's Francoeur and McCann, the list of Braves scheduled to take part is topped by John Smoltz, Chipper Jones, Mark Teixeira, Tim Hudson and Tom Glavine.
Other players include Kelly Johnson, Chuck James, Matt Diaz and Javy Lopez. Braves prospects will also be on hand, including Gwinnett's Clint Sammons.
The event will run from
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. One-day and two-day tickets are available.
All activities once inside the Fanfest, including autograph sessions, are free.
Braves pitchers and catchers will report to spring training at Disney's Wide World of Sports outside Orlando on Feb. 14 and have their first workout the following day. The initial full-squad workout is Feb. 20.
The exhibition season begins Feb. 27, with the University of Georgia supplying the opposition at renamed Champion Stadium. Grapefruit League play starts the next day with a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Vero Beach.
The final exhibition games are March 28 and 29 against the Cleveland Indians at Turner Field.
The Braves will open the regular season March 30 in the first game at the Washington Nationals' new stadium.
The home opener for the Braves is the next night, with the Pittsburgh Pirates coming to Turner Field.
