The application requests that the properties be zoned General Business District (BG). The properties are presently zoned Single Family Residential District (R-100) in Gwinnett County. The Sugar Hill City Council will consider whether or not to annex the property, and if annexed, what zoning classification to place on the property annexed. The Mayor and City Council has authority to zone the property as requested or place such other zoning classification on the property as they deem appropriate, constitutional, and in the best interest of the citizens of Sugar Hill. A public hearing on the proposed annexation and zoning with the Mayor and City Council has been scheduled for Monday, January 14, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sugar Hill City Hall Annex, at 4988 West Broad Street, Sugar Hill, Georgia. The case file may be viewed by any interested party at the Department of Planning and Development from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing shall be had on an application to annex the property hereinafter described pursuant to Article 3, Chapter 36, Title 36, of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated to the City of Dacula.

Notice is hereby given to the public that the City of Sugar Hill, Georgia will consider an amendment to the text of the 2000 Zoning Ordinance of the City of Sugar Hill, Georgia which will change the architectural standards and review process for the Town Center Overlay area, will change the uses allowed in the Town Center Overlay area and will affect other aspects of the zoning and use of all property located in the Town Center Overlay area. This amendment affects Section 608 and creates a new Section in Chapter 9 of the 2000 Zoning Ordinance. The area designated as the Town Center Overlay is shown on a map that is attached to and incorporated into the proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. A copy of the proposed amendment is available for review and copying in the office of the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Sugar Hill located in Sugar Hill City Hall at 4988 West Broad Street.
