Robber takes cab driver's wallet
NORCROSS - A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint while on the job Sunday night, according to a police report. The driver was flagged down by a Hispanic man at a Citgo station on Buford Highway about 10 p.m., the report said. The driver attempted to take the man to his requested South Old Peachtree Road and Freedom Lane destination but the man pulled a handgun and robbed the driver of his wallet. The man jumped out of the taxi and fled on foot. Woman has cash stolen from purse DULUTH - More than $100 was stolen from a Norcross woman's purse while she shopped at a Duluth Target store Saturday. According to a police report, the woman's bag was snatched from her buggy while she was getting food items out of a cooler. The woman said a black man fled with her purse, running to the parking lot where he dropped her bag and wallet, taking only the money. She said the man was about 6 feet 2 inches tall, 240 pounds and was wearing a blue sweatshirt and tan work boots.More like this story
