The Fulton County Schools invites you to submit a bid for furnishing any or all items as listed on the solicitation forms provided herein for, Chattahoochee High School, Arch Facility, 5230 Taylor Road, John Creek, GA 30022.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Meadows Operations Center, 5270 Northfield Boulevard, College Park, Georgia 30349.

Sealed Bids will be received subject to the attached terms specified in Section 00200 - Instructions to Bidders, the Operations Division, Contracting Department, The Meadows Operations Center, 5270 Northfield Boulevard, College Park, Georgia 30349. The bids will be received up to 2:30 p.m., local time (as per the Contracting Department time clock) on Friday, January 18, 2008.

Surety issuing the bid bond shall meet the requirements set forth in Articles 5.10 of the General Conditions. A pre-bid conference will be held in accordance with Section 00325. The bidder is responsible for ensuring that they have complete Bidding Documents including all Addenda provided by the OWNER, prior to the bid due date.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Sealed bids will be received from Bidders by the Gwinnett County Board of Education, Building "C" Conference Room at 53 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30045 until 3:00 p.m. January 24, 2008, for the furnishing of all labor, material, and services for the construction of the above referenced project in compliance with plans and specifications. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the time and place stated above. Application for bidding documents should be filed with the Architect promptly. Phones will not be available for use by Bidders.

"All Bidders must submit AIA Document A305 "Contractor's Qualification Statement" to be evaluated by the Owner and Architect along with the bid deposit prior to being issued plans and specifications. Bidders who do not submit the A305 Statement will be subject to disqualification. The A305 must show the Contractor's ability to complete the Contract in a satisfactory manner on projects of similar scope and complexity. References from past clients and projects must be included and will be verified. AS PART OF THE PRE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS, A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD AT THE OWNER'S OFFICES AT 53 GWINNETT DRIVE, LAWRENCEVILLE, GA., ON JANUARY 10, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. Failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference shall result in disqualification of the bidder. Any bidder may be required, at the discretion of the Owner, to furnish evidence satisfactory to the Owner, that the proposed subcontractors have sufficient means and experience in the types of work called for to assure completion of the contract in a satisfactory manner. Any bidder that is disqualified may respond to the Owner in writing within twenty (20) days of the Notice of Disqualification as to why the bidder feels that the disqualification is unfounded. The written appeal from the disqualified bidder will not change the decision already made on this project. However, a favorable appeal may open the way for the bidder in question to bid on future Gwinnett County Public School System projects." In any case, the Owner's decisions shall be deemed final.

Contract, if awarded, will be on stipulated sum basis. Bids may not be withdrawn for period of sixty (60) days after date of receipt of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by bid bond payable to Gwinnett County Board of Education in amount equal to five percent of base bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in amount equal to 100 percent of contract sum, will be required of successful Bidder.* These bonds shall be executed by Surety Company licensed to do business in State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of Treasury" Circular 570, and have an A. M. Best Company rating of minimum Class "A", with financial size of VI or better. In addition, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the respective subcontract amount, will be required of the successful Roofing, Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical and Steel Erectors Subcontractors.

RELOCATION

OF PUMP STATIONS AND APPURTENANCES

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting applications from Contractors for annual pre-qualification to furnish labor, materials and equipment for the installation, replacement and / or relocation of pump stations and appurtenances at various locations throughout Gwinnett County.

Special Conditions: The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources shall comply with O.C.G.A § 36-91-20 as amended for mandatory pre-qualification of prospective bidders. Therefore, interested applicants should obtain an Annual Pre-Qualification Application for the Installation, Replacement and/or Relocation of Pump Stations and Appurtenances from the Gwinnett County Purchasing Office, 75 Langley Drive, 2nd Floor, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045 (Telephone No. 770-822-8720). Applications will be evaluated based on established criteria listed in the application. All qualified and disqualified applicants will be notified in writing. Contractors will be considered "pre-qualified" upon issuance of the notification of pre-qualification. Pre-qualified Contractors will remain "pre-qualified " until the County determines otherwise. One (1) original application must be completed and date stamped into the Gwinnett County Purchasing Office. Although the Purchasing Division will take effort to notify pre-qualified Contractors of bids that are based on the established criteria of the application, it is the Contractor's ultimate responsibility to ensure that they remain abreast of Gwinnett County's solicitations. Depending on the scope and complexity of work to be performed, individual projects may require a project-specific pre-qualification, independent of the annual pre-qualification process.

The review and approval process will require a minimum of three weeks from the date application is received into the Gwinnett County Purchasing Office. Contractors under consideration for pre-qualification may not submit bids for projects that have advertised prior to the contractor's notification of pre-qualification. Applicant shall not attach information in lieu of completion of the application document. All information requested by the County shall be provided within the application document; however, additional pages may be attached if more space is required or as otherwise instructed within the application document. All additional pages should be clearly labeled with the applicant's name, section, name item number and page number.

Applicant's qualification will be determined based upon the information presented. All questions must be answered in full, without exception. Failure to do so may result in the applicant being deemed non-responsive and therefore may not be considered for qualification.
