Buford's Pridemore withdraws commitment to Georgia Tech

BUFORD - Buford's T.J. Pridemore is pursuing other options for his college football career.

The senior linebacker withdrew his verbal commitment to Georgia Tech last week, opening up his recruiting to other schools. The decommitment follows Georgia Tech's hiring of former Navy head coach Paul Johnson to replace fired coach Chan Gailey.

Buford head coach Jess Simpson confirmed Pridemore had withdrew his commitment. Messages left by the Daily Post on Pridemore's cell phone were not returned Monday night.

As a senior, Pridemore was seventh in the county in tackles with 127. He also had three sacks and on interception on Buford's undefeated Class AA state championship team. On offense, he had two catches for 38 yards with zero touchdowns.
