Each year the Gwinnett Daily Post photographers select their favorite images from the past year. Below are their selections from 2007.
Su Anderson Frances Harrell walks the red carpet with escort Steven Jones of the North Gwinnett High School JROTC, after being crowned "Ms. Life Care" at the eighth annual pageant in March. Six contestants were nominated to participate in the pageant by staff, friends and family at the Life Care Center of Lawrenceville. This was one of my first assignments after coming to work for the Daily Post, and I really enjoyed being around the ladies. They were so proud to be a part of the pageant, and though the contestants were quiet they were also beaming. I think this photo captures the event by showing the winner's joy.
