ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Collins Hill placed third against some of the nation's top wrestling competition in the Brute Battlefield Duals in Virginia on Saturday.
Joel Smith and Taylor Knapp were both undefeated for the tournament.
Collins Hill beat Poquoson (56-12), McDonogh Va. (37-22), Berwick, Pa. (44-25), Hayfield, Va. (48-12) and Chartiers Valley, Va. (60-13). The Eagles lost to Christiansburg, Va. (28-33), and Colonial Forge, Va. (31-29), but won its last match against Connellsville, Pa. (39-19).
Dacula places fourth
CHATSWORTH - Dacula placed fourth as a team with two team champions in the Murray County Tournament on Saturday.
Frankie Miller (112 pounds) and Noah Hunt (119) were tournament champions. Noah Hunt was named most outstanding for the tournament.
Brandon Bullock (103), Kevin Bailey (130) and Vitaliy Yarmurity (140) finished second.
J.C. Hull (145), Zeke Hunt (152) and Westin Sand placed fourth for Dacula.
Buford has three wrestlers place
DAWSONVILLE - Buford had three wrestlers place in the Amicalola Classic on Saturday.
Scottie Forrester (145) placed third and Tia Forrester (103) and Cameron Hutchins (130) both placed fourth for Buford.
Peachtree Ridge has four tourney champs
CHATTAHOOCHEE - Peachtree Ridge finished with four tournament champions in the Chattahoochee Invitational on Saturday.
Andrew Sartin (112), Kendall Albert (140), Matt Chapman (160) and Sam Kuntz (189) each took home a gold medal. The foursome set a school record for most champs crowned in a single individual tournament.
Parkview 58, Central 46
LAWRENCEVILLE - Parkview (11-3) took a 58-46 win over Central Gwinnett on Saturday.
Sczeny Hartry and Lauren Coleman each scored 13 points for the Panthers.
South 39, Grayson 36
SNELLVILLE - With the Comets leading, Grayson hit a 3-pointer to force overtime, but South Gwinnett beat the Rams 39-36 on Saturday.
Hanna Ennis led South (3-6) with 13 points and Rebecca Westbrooks and Taren White each scored 10 points for the Rams.
North 46, Peachtree Ridge 39
SUWANEE - Stephanie Owens scored 12 points as North Gwinnett (11-4) defeated Peachtree Ridge 46-39 on Saturday.
Shiloh 38, Meadowcreek 25
NORCROSS - Sherry Mujkanovic contributed 12 points for Shiloh (2-11) as the Generals took a 38-25 win over Meadowcreek on Saturday.
Brooke Wigfall led Meadowcreek with 11 points.
Buford 57, North Hall 31
GAINESVILLE - Blanche Alverson led the Wolves with 21 points as Buford topped North Hall 57-31 on Saturday.
Jocelyn Danley added 13 points as Buford improved to 11-1 for the year.
Winder-Barrow 53, Dacula 52
DACULA - Winder-Barrow beat Dacula 53-52 on Saturday.
Eve Machovec scored her 1,000 career point and led Dacula (7-8) with 12 points.
Providence 50, St. Francis 37
ALPHARETTA - Caroline Adams scored 13 points for Providence as the Stars beat St. Francis 50-37 on Saturday.
Maggie Brown contributed 12 points and Amelia Allen added 11 for Providence.
Wesleyan 58, Paideia 45
DECATUR - Anne Marie Armstrong scored 10 points as Wesleyan (13-2) beat Paideia 58-45 at Agnes Scott College on Saturday.
Macon Area 56, Greater Gwinnett 46
MACON - Diamond Smith led the Barons with 19 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Greater Gwinnett lost 56-46 against Macon Area on Saturday.
Sarah Reis had 17 points and two assists for Greater Gwinnett.
Parkview 72, Central 62
LAWRENCEVILLE - Yaw Gyawu led the Panthers with 26 points as Parkview took a 72-62 victory over Central Gwinnett on Saturday.
Bobby Glover totaled 20 points and had 13 rebounds for Parkview (10-3).
Meadowcreek 72, Shiloh 52
NORCROSS - Meadowcreek (7-4) defeated Shiloh 72-52 on Saturday.
Teondre Williams contributed 18 points, three blocks and three steals, and Jarvis Brown had 18 points and five rebounds.
Charles Johnson finished the night with 14 points and four steals for the Mustangs.
Peachtree Ridge 47, North 41
SUWANEE - Peachtree Ridge (8-7) beat North Gwinnett 47-41 in overtime on Saturday.
Khalid Mutakabbir led Peachtree Ridge with 17 points and Adrian Hubbard added 12.
Ebuka Anyaorah was the top scorer for North.
Buford 54, North Hall 51
GAINESVILLE - Buford pushed past North Hall 54-51 on Saturday.
Twoey Hosch and Jeramie Moore each scored 10 points for Buford (6-5).
Wesleyan 60, Paideia 37
DECATUR - Howard Thompkins scored 31 points as Wesleyan beat Paideia 60-37 on Saturday.
Tanner Smith added 11 for Wesleyan (11-2).
Dacula 72, Winder 50
DACULA - Brian Cole totaled 27 points to help Dacula top Winder 72-50 on Saturday.
Justin Rush added 19 points for Dacula (15-1).
Loganville 79, Rockdale County 64
LOGANVILLE - Loganville beat Rockdale County 79-64 on Saturday.
Justin Pitts led all scorers with 26 points and Tyler Gunnett added 22 for Loganville (11-2).
Greater Gwinnett 67, Macon Area 62
MACON - Edward Jackson had 21 points, three rebounds and four assists as Greater Gwinnett defeated Macon Area 67-62 on Saturday.
Michael Brock had 14 points and five rebounds, and Jared Martz finished with 11 points and six rebounds for the Barons.
