GHSA announces sites, new times for Friday quarterfinals

The remaining Class AAAAA basketball teams in the state tournament's lower bracket had the uncertainty of the quarterfinal round removed on Wednesday morning.

The Georgia High School Association assigned teams to the two venues, Marietta and Mt. Zion-Jonesboro, after waiting to see the winners from Tuesday night's second-round boys games.

Marietta will host the top-ranked Norcross boys quarterfinal against Northview at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, which will follow a

7 p.m. girls quarterfinal between Parkview and Duluth.

The boys Sweet 16 nightcap at Mt. Zion will feature Berkmar against Wheeler at 8:30 p.m. It will be preceded by a 7 p.m. girls quarterfinal between Mill Creek and Marietta.
