Ruth Youngblood Palmour, age 71, of Duluth, died February 22, 2008. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel, with Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating. Interment Peachtree Memorial Park, Norcross. Mrs. Palmour was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Grady Palmour, Jr., brother, Lawrence Youngblood, and great grandson, Will Hester. She is survived by her children, son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Linda Palmour of Duluth, daughter, Debbie Haefele, Gainesville, daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Charles Brock of Auburn and Kim and Troy Bjork of Hoschton, brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Ruby Dean Youngblood of Duluth, sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Bobby Sterling of Cumming, grandchildren, Robin, Amy, Jamie, Lisa, Ashley, great grandchildren, Michael, Stephany, Savannah, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Savannah and Jacob and many nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of Gwinnett County, she enjoyed fishing in Florida, reading, gardening, crocheting and gospel music and was a beloved mother and nanny to many. The family will receive friends Sunday 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel, 770-476-2535.
