Raymond A. Smith, age 76, of Lawrenceville, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2008 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. John Colbaugh officiating. Burial Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville. A retired Air Force Senior Master Sgt. with 28 years of service, also serving in the Korean Conflict, Mr. Smith was a member of the Georgia Antique Engine Club and Antique Clock Association. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Smith and Royston Smith and is survived by: Wife: Peggy O. Smith, Lawrenceville; Daughter & Son-in-law: Cheryl & Peter Marchi, Montana; Step-Sons: Charles L. & Heather Heath, FL, Russell E. Heath, Lawrenceville; Brother: Bennie R. & LeTisha Smith, Duluth; Sisters: Ladora S. Chandler, Cumming, Annette Smith, Norcross; 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mrs. Smith to help offset the grandchildren's airline transportation cost related to the funeral. Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045, 770-962-3100.
