WINDER - A restaurant manager was arrested Friday and charged with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of children.
Barrow County sheriff's deputies arrested William J. Schnipelsky, 39, of Winder, following an investigation led by an Internet crimes against children task force, said Maj. Murray Kogod, Barrow County's chief deputy. Kogod said that the investigation centers around pornographic pictures of children, although investigators don't believe Schnipelsky had actual contact with any children. Schnipelsky is unmarried and holds a bachelor's degree in culinary arts, according to jail records. His co-workers at the Applebee's Restaurant in Commerce, where Schnipelsky has served as general manager since November, describe him as a quiet guy who was good at paperwork. "He was really good at the administrative duties," said William Humble, assistant manager. Schnipelsky was denied bond and remains in the Barrow County Jail.More like this story
