Son accused of threatening dad
LOGANVILLE - A Loganville man was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening his father with a knife inside their Burning Bush Drive home.
Gwinnett County police responded to the home about 5:30 p.m. to reports 29-year-old Stephen Cody Powell was arguing with his parents and had become aggressive.
Powell grabbed a steak knife from the kitchen and threatened to "cut up" his father, a police report said.
The son and father struggled on the steps of the home, but there was no indication either man was hurt.
Powell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault
Guns stolen from house
LAWRENCEVILLE - Two guns are missing from a Lawrenceville man's home.
The homeowner said someone forced their way into the home on Hercules Trail Tuesday by prying open the front door and proceeded to a bedroom, scattering clothes throughout the home and taking the firearms.
The homeowner described the weapons as a revolver and shotgun, the report said.
Woman bound during robbery
NORCROSS - A Norcross store clerk was bound with tape during an armed robbery at Universal Music on Britt Road Tuesday.
Two Hispanic men entered the store appearing to look for CDs then one produced a handgun and made the female clerk empty a number of cash registers, a police report said.
The men bound the woman's wrists and covered her mouth with duct tape before leaving the store.
The woman told police the pair took approximately $700.
