Prep roundup: Broncos' McLane, Rams' White reach milestones

LILBURN - Lauren Coleman led the Panthers with 17 points as Parkview topped Brookwood 53-39 on Friday night.

Katie Carroll added 12 points for Parkview (22-3).

Courtney McLane scored 17 for the Broncos (8-16). McLane scored her 1,000th career point, becoming the seventh player in Brookwood history to reach the mark.


Grayson 39, Meadowcreek 27

LOGANVILLE - Grayson beat Meadowcreek 39-27 on Friday night.

With one basket, Taren White broke Grayson's single-game scoring record with 32 points, as well as the school's season scoring record.

Senior Rebecca Westbrooks scored seven for the Rams (8-17).

Genea Williams scored 16 points and had eight rebounds and three steals for the Mustangs.

Central 54, Shiloh 36

SNELLVILLE - Jasmine Scott scored 16 points to help Central Gwinnett beat Shiloh 54-36 on Friday.

Dria David added 14 points and Shawna Land had 10 points for the Black Knights (15-8).

Mill Creek 83, Forsyth Central 52

CUMMING - Porsha Porter scored 15 points to help top-ranked Mill Creek defeat Forsyth Central 83-52 on Friday.

Olivia Towers-Solis added 14 points and Moneshia Simmons scored 12 for the Hawks (22-1).

Peachtree Ridge 52, North Forsyth 46

CUMMING - Mackenzie Dalrymple totaled 22 points and six rebounds to help Peachtree Ridge take a 52-46 victory over North Forsyth on Friday.

Erika Waters had 12 points and three steals, while Brittany Jack scored 12 points and had seven rebounds for the Lions (13-11).

North 64, South Forsyth 52

SUWANEE - Stephanie Wheeler scored 18 points to help North Gwinnett take a 64-52 victory over South Forsyth on Friday.

Elizabeth Sledge added 16 points for the Bulldogs (17-8, 10-6), who moved into a three-way tie with Duluth and Collins Hill for second place in Region 7-AAAAA.

Wesleyan 78, Decatur 23

DECATUR - Anne Marie Armstrong scored 31 points to lead Wesleyan past Decatur 78-23 on Friday.

Chantel Kennedy chipped in 16 for Wesleyan (22-2).

GAC 66, Avondale 43

AVONDALE - Greater Atlanta Christian took a 66-43 win over Avondale on Friday.

Briana Jordan led the Spartans with 19 points and five assists and Chaney Means scored 14 points and had seven rebounds and six steals. Anjelica Wilcox added nine points and seven rebounds for GAC (20-3).

Buford 70, Cross Keys 22

BUFORD - Jennifer Tucker led all scorers with 31 points as Buford defeated Cross Keys 70-22 on Friday night.

Katie Lynn added nine for the Wolves (20-5).

Providence 54, Mt. Paran 29

LILBURN - Amelia Allen led all scorers with 25 points and added five assists and five steals as Providence Christian beat Mt. Paran 54-29 on Friday.

Caroline Adams contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and eight blocks for the Stars (18-7).

Hebron 52, Athens Christian 42

ATHENS - Hebron Christian (11-8) beat Athens Christian 52-42 on Friday night.

Britt Pecht led the Lions with 22 points and five steals, while Rachael Duval scored 20 points, including a 3-pointer. Olivia Clark added eight points and 13 rebounds.

Loganville 51, Jackson County 36

LOGNVILLE - Loganville beat Jackson County 51-36 on Friday night.

Tichina Chatman led with 13 points for the Red Devils (19-5).


Parkview 81, Brookwood 67

LILBURN - Yaw Gyawu led the Panthers with 26 points as Parkview took a 81-67 victory against Brookwood on Friday.

Ryan Smith scored 14 points and Andrew Roesch contributed 13 for the Panthers (20-5). Nate Hamilton finished with 18 points for the Broncos.

Central 72, Shiloh 53

SNELLVILLE - DeVonta' White scored 20 points to help Central Gwinnett defeat Shiloh 72-53 on Friday.

Prinz Barimah added 12 points for the Black Knights (11-13).

Norcross 89, Duluth 36

NORCROSS - Al-Farouq Aminu led all scorers with 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Norcross defeated Duluth 89-36 on Friday.

Denzail Jones scored 12 points and A.J. Hawkins added 11 for the Blue Devils (12-2).

Antonio Falls scored 14 points for the Wildcats.

South Forsyth 57, North 44

SUWANEE - Ebuka Anyaorah scored 27 points but it wasn't enough, as North Gwinnett (14-11) fell to South Forsyth 57-44 on Friday.

Meadowcreek 75, Grayson 47

LOGANVILLE - Meadowcreek defeated Grayson 75-47 on Friday.

Dwayne Robinson totaled 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Teondre Williams scored 12 points and had eight rebounds and two blocks for the Mustangs (17-8).

Peachtree Ridge 83, North Forsyth 39

CUMMING - Peachtree Ridge defeated North Forsyth 83-39 on Friday.

Cory Blackwell and Khalid Mutakabbir each scored 18 points, while Adrian Hubbard and Tim Foster each finished with 16 points for the Lions (15-9).

Mill Creek 69, Forsyth Central 58

CUMMING - Travis Bollier led all scorers with 23 points as Mill Creek defeated Forsyth Central 69-58 on Friday night.

Chris Avery scored 21 points for the Hawks.

Buford 83, Cross Keys 63

BUFORD - Zac Lynn scored 19 points for Buford as the Wolves took an 88-63 win over Cross Keys on Friday.

Jakar Bridges finished with 16 points and Jeramie Moore added 14 points. Twoey Hosch contributed 13 points and Jake McCorsky chipped in 10 for the Wolves (8-16).

Wesleyan 55, Decatur 34

DECATUR - Howard Thompkins led with 22 points and Wesleyan (19-4) beat Decatur 55-34 on Friday.

GAC 85, Avondale 81

AVONDALE - GAC defeated Avondale 85-81 in double overtime on Friday.

GAC was led by Taylor Metzger with 25 points and Trent Wiedeman with 20 points and 18 rebounds.

Chase Hudson and Brett Johnson each scored 15 points for the Spartans (22-2).

Providence 52, Mt. Paran 35

NORCROSS - Providence beat Mt. Paran 52-35 on Friday.

Westley Hinton led with 13 points and Jesse Meier added nine for Providence (10-15).

Loganville 82, Jackson County 39

LOGANVILLE - Loganville defeated Jackson County 82-39 on Friday.

Justin Pitts totaled 20 points and Tyler Gunnett scored 17 points for the Red Devils (19-5).

Heritage Academy 72, American Heritage 35

CANTON - Heritage Academy topped American Heritage 72-35 on Friday night.

Andrew Porter led all scorers with 22 points, while Mason Roszel scored 16 for Heritage Academy (17-9).
