Janet Faye Curtis, age 74, of Loganville, GA, passed away February 2, 2008, at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, GA as a result of her brief battle with cancer. She was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be fondly remembered for her big heart and fun-loving spirit. Her generosity and selflessness was a beautiful gift. She was a wonderful caretaker who dedicated herself to the care of her husband, Don and their daughter, Susan as they battled cancer. She loved her family, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, tennis, dancing and most of all having a great time and a good laugh. She was preceded in death by her parents: Everett and Evelyn McKissick of Punta Gordo, FL, her husband: Donald C. Curtis of Loganville, GA, her oldest daughter: Susan E. Volz of Brookfield, CT. She is survived by a daughter, Sally and a son, Steve; Grandchildren from oldest daughter, Susan and son-in-law, Robert Volz; Kristin M. Volz of New York City, NY, Andrew R. Volz of San Francisco, CA and Daniel J. Volz of Brookfield, CT; Brother, Roger McKissick of Akron, Ohio and his wife, Miriam; Sister, Sharon McKissick-Perez of Punta Gordo, FL and her husband Robert; sister-in-law, Joyce Artis of Ft. Myers, FL and her husband, Don; several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Janet Faye Curtis will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 1:00PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Howard Greer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
