Led by ice operations manager John Martin, left, Arena Operations Manager Thomas Hutchinson and operations personnel Bakhodir Suleymanov, Dhan George and Hukumchan Sukhandan dye the hockey ice pink on Monday morning at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Gwinnett Gladiators are turning the ice pink for a weekend long "Pink-in-the-Rink" event to raise money and awareness for women's cancer research. Martin uses a clear resin dye to create the pink ice. This is the second time the team has dyed the ice. The first was green for St. Patrick's Day in 2007. The Gladiators play at home Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The players will be wearing specially designed jerseys which will be auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds going to nonprofits.
