NORCROSS - Teondre Williams exploded for 41 points and seven rebounds as Meadowcreek hammered Central Gwinnett 90-70. Tyler McDaniels added 15 points and two blocks in the Meadowcreek (16-7) victory.
Dezman Colquitt led all scorers for Central Gwinnett with 22 points. BOYS BASKETBALL Parkview 65, South Gwinnett 54 SNELLVILLE - Brandon Macon's 16 points and six rebounds were just enough to lead Parkview (18-5) to a 65-54 victory over South Gwinnett. Corbyn Moye's 14 points led all South Gwinnett scorers. Berkmar 79, Grayson 51 LOGANVILLE - With 35 points on the evening, Demarrion Gordon rocketed Berkmar past Grayson 79-51. Gordon made 11 of 12 3-pointers, seven of which came in the third quarter. Jamario Smith scored 11 points for Grayson in the home defeat. Shiloh 58, Brookwood 53 SNELLVILLE - Shiloh improved its record to 9-13 on the season with the 58-53 victory over Brookwood on Saturday. Cedric Eichelberger scored 11 points for the Generals. Brookwood was led by Nate Hamilton's 14 points. Buford 62, North Hall 45 BUFORD - Jeramie Moore and Twoey Hosch led Buford to a 62-45 victory over North Hall on Saturday evening. Moore's 24 points and Hosch's 10 points and seven assists were the key factors as Buford improved its record to 7-15. Josh Haymore led North Hall with 14 points. Woodland 48, Providence 36 STOCKBRIDGE - Elliott Davis scored 13 points and Peter Hage had nine in Providence's 48-36 loss to Woodland on Saturday. The Stars are now 8-15 on the season. Loganville 82, Johnson 67 LOGANVILLE - Tyler Gunnett led all scorers with 20 points as Loganville knocked off Johnson-Gainesville 82-67. Clevins Volcey added 16 points for Loganville (17-5) and Brandon Sloan contributed 18 points for Johnson in a losing effort. Apalachee 71, North Oconee 50 WINDER - Senior night saw four Apalachee players score in double-digits as Apalachee defeated North Oconee 71-50. Chaun Gresham led all scorers with 16 points and Diamond Gerring kept pace with 14 points. Shane Sargent and DeVaughn Kilgore both scored 11 points. GIRLS BASKETBALL Parkview 51, South Gwinnett 37 SNELLVILLE - Katie Carroll's 13 points and four steals helped Parkview (20-3) trounce South Gwinnett 51-37. Lauren Coleman added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Panthers. Hanna Ennis contributed nine points to lead all scorers for South Gwinnett. Brookwood 45, Shiloh 30 SNELLVILLE - Courtney McLane's 18 points helped Brookwood (12-10) overcome Shiloh 45-30. The Generals (2-20) were lead by an eight-point performance from Nicole Fifer. Berkmar 40, Grayson 37 LOGANVILLE - Tyra Smith's 12 points were enough to catapult Berkmar to a 40-37 victory over Grayson on Saturday evening. The Patriots put together a 9-2 scoring run in the wanning minutes of the game to seal the tightly contested victory. Taren White lead Grayson with 16 points in the losing effort. Norcross 69, Tucker 39 NORCROSS - Tiffany Clarke's 21 points and 10 rebounds helped lead Norcross (12-10) to a 69-39 victory over Tucker. Bri Meeks also contributed 11 points and six rebounds in the victory. Providence Christian 43, Woodland 35 STOCKBRIDGE - Emila Allen dumped in 15 points as Providence (16-7) defeated Woodland 43-35 on Saturday evening. Maggie Brown added 10 points and Summar Corley contributed with eight points and two blocked shots. Buford 62, North Hall 60 BUFORD - Sheresse Williams' 13 points helped push Buford (19-4) over the top in a four overtime victory over North Hall 62-60. Blanche Alverson and Michelle Godwin added 11 and 10 points respectively for the Wolves. Clark Central 53, Dacula 47 DACULA - Abbie Daniel's 17 points weren't enough as Dacula fell to Clark Central 53-47. The loss drops Dacula to 10-13 on the season. Terra Branch led Clark Central with 16 points. WRESTLING Buford takes fourth at Burnt Mountain Classic BALL GROUND - Scottie Forrester took first place in the 135-pound weight class and was voted most outstanding wrestler of the tournament. He did not allow an opponent to score on him. Tia Forrester, Cameron Hutchins, Zak Oliver, Andy Kellogg, Matt Johnson, Cory Outler, Michael Biggs, and Sterling Bell all placed in the tournament. Berkmar's Smith takes second at North Metro SNELLVILLE - Robert Smith went 6-1 on the weekend to place second at the North Metro tournament held at Brookwood High School. Smith (215 pounds) is 36-3 on the season and has recorded 28 pins.
