Mr. and Mrs. John W. Franks Jr. of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Susie Kate Franks of Alpharetta, to Richard Ray Weetman of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weetman of Wedowee, Ala.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Franks Sr. of Buford, Eula S. Young of Havana, Fla., and the late Kenneth Young. She is a 2001 graduate of Collins Hill High School and a 2005 graduate of Samford University, where she received a bachelor's degree in English. She is employed by Technicolor. The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weetman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Alcocer. He is a graduate of The Donoho School in Anniston, Ala., and a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. He is employed by CNN International. The wedding is planned for April 26 at The Carl House in Auburn.More like this story
