LAWRENCEVILLE - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying three "persons of interest" in connection with a fatal shooting Dec. 11 at Jenny's Food Mart at 3452 Club Drive.
The three men were captured on surveillance cameras at the location "just before or during the incident," police said. Investigators believe the men may have vital information about the actual suspect.
Police have one man in custody, 20-year-old Dion Harris Jr., of Sacramento, Calif., charged with felony murder. They said that as they were piecing together the crime scene, Harris arrived at Gwinnett Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Harris, according to police, said he and the victim, 21-year-old Leo Fletcher, also of Sacramento, exchanged gunfire after a drug deal went bad.
Fletcher's body was found inside a gray Chevy Malibu parked at a residence in the 1000 block of Legacy Lane, about a mile away from the suspected shooting site.
Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said investigators are seeking information on another suspect, who remains on the loose.
The first person police want to talk to is described as a black man in his mid- to late-20s, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and 210 pounds. The second man is a black man in his mid-20s, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, with shoulder-length dreadlocks. The third subject is described as a black man, bald, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds.
Police believe the men may be traveling in a white Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon.
Police urge anyone with any information to call Gwinnett Police investigators at 770-513-5353 or 404-207-0576.
