ATLANTA - Four suspects - including a Duluth minor - have been arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies around the metro Atlanta area during the last two weeks.
After photographs were released regarding Wednesday's robbery of a Lithonia Bank of America, Shantavia Glass, 22, of Lithonia, turned herself in to the DeKalb County police. She was questioned by DeKalb authorities and FBI agents and booked into the DeKalb County Jail.
William Berk Harrold, 18, of Lithonia, Zachery Antonio Harris, 20, of Ellenwood and the 16-year-old boy were captured in Mississippi after receiving tips from the public following Wednesday's newscast. At about 4 a.m. Friday, reports said, authorities in McComb, Miss., stopped a vehicle they believed was being driven by the suspects. Officers arrested Harrold and a 20-year-old woman and, based on information gathered during the stop, sent the department's SWAT team to a nearby hotel where they arrested Harris and the juvenile.
Glass was tentatively scheduled to be transferred to federal custody Thursday. Harrold, Harris and the juvenile are in the custody of Pike County authorities and will eventually be transferred to federal authorities, an FBI press release said.
