Puppet show presents retelling of holiday poem

The classic holiday poem, "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," will be told through the eyes of a mouse, who may not have been stirring but was certainly watching the events unfold Christmas Eve, as the Piccadilly Puppets visit the Aurora Theatre on Saturday.

"We have taken some liberties with the story and have some very, very funny events that take place," Piccadilly director Carol Daniel said.

The Piccadilly Puppets Company, founded in 1969, is a touring puppet theater based in Atlanta, and Daniel has been involved with the company since 1974. She and a fellow company member, Bobby Box, adapted the Christmas poem for a puppet play.

"'Twas the Night Before Christmas" will be presented at 10 and 11 a.m. Saturday. For more information, call 678-226-6222 or visit www.auroratheatre.com.
