AC Chiropractic partners with Quinn House to provide Christmas for needy families

LAWRENCEVILLE - In times of a suffering economy and great need, outreach ministries are more important than ever. Time and time again, the Quinn House has partnered with various organizations to help meet those needs.

This time, AC Chiropractic has chosen to team with the Quinn House in adopting "angels" for the Quinn House's Christmas program. Each angel represents a child who would not have otherwise had presents under the tree.

In November, Dr. Jeanette Altieri and Dr. Louis Cavallo began asking their patients and staff to participate in the effort.

"We were able to provide 28 children with their special Christmas wishes this year thanks to the generosity of our patients and staff," Altieri said. "There is a great feeling that comes from knowing you have helped make a difference in a child's life."

AC Chiropractic also collected non-perishable food items for the Quinn House. These donations will be used in food baskets and to help prepare a Christmas meal for needy families.

In 2007, AC Chiropractic used the Salvation Army's gift-giving program to adopt 50 children. Altieri said it is all about giving back to the community.

"We want to bring the joy of Christmas to those who are struggling this season and have them be able to celebrate like the rest of us," Altieri said.
