Shellie Mae Shoemake, age 94 of Grayson, GA., formerly of Brookhaven, GA. passed away, Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Born January 1, 1914 in Plant City, Florida to the late Skelton and Margaret Maude Peek. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, Step-Father, Marcus Manning, brother, George W. (Buck) Peek, sister, Agnes Peek, husband, Hoyt Shoemake, Sr. and son, Hoyt Shoemake, Jr., Grandson, Lester Shoemake, Great Grandson, Jason Nathaniel Osborne. Survived by daughters, Nona Law of Grayson, GA. and Connie (Jay) Hitch of Maryville, TN., 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren and 7 Step-Great Grandchildren, 3 Nieces. She was a member of Snellville First Baptist Church. At the age of 90, Shellie developed a passion for drawing and started a card ministry for missionaries, family and friends. She was a joy and inspiration to everyone that knew her and who was touched by her life. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2008 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 2246 Wisteria Drive, Snellville, GA. with Rev. Guy Priester officiating.
