Prep roundup: Coogler, Grayson defeat Generals

GRAYSON - Justin Coogler led Grayson with 22 points as the Rams defeated Shiloh 75-61 on Saturday.

Javarris Smith contributed 15 points and Ben Loudermilk scored 11 points for Grayson, which improved to 5-1.

Cameron Whigham scored 16 points and Cedric Eichelberger added 12 points for Shiloh.


Central 66, South Forsyth 54

LAWRENCEVILLE - Herbert Thomas led the Black Knights with 18 points as Central Gwinnett beat South Forsyth 66-54 in overtime on Saturday.

The Black Knights were 8-for-10 from the free-throw line in overtime.

Jordan Adams scored 11 points and Ayo Madamidola added 10 points for Central (3-3).

Norcross 62, Collins Hill 45

SUWANEE - Norcross beat Collins Hill 62-45 on Saturday.

Denzail Jones scored 18 points for Norcross (2-0) and Jeremy Olsen scored 18 for Collins Hill.

Apalachee 68, Salem 57

WINDER - Chaun Gresham contributed 22 points and 12 rebounds to help Apalachee defeat Salem 68-57 on Saturday.

John Ansley scored 13 points and had six assists. Clayton Barber had 10 points and seven rebounds while DeVaughn Kilgore added 10 points for Apalachee (2-2).


Central 72, South Forsyth 68

LAWRENCEVILLE - Dria David led Central Gwinnett with 23 points and the Black Knights earned a 72-68 overtime victory against South Forsyth on Saturday.

Lauren Brown scored 19 points and Amiri Williams added 13 for Central (3-3).

Grayson 53, Shiloh 32

GRAYSON - Taren White led the Rams with 24 points as Grayson beat Shiloh 53-32 on Saturday.

Erika Joseph had a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds for Grayson.

Pilar Smith scored 12 for Shiloh.

Norcross 63, Collins Hill 57

SUWANEE - Norcross beat Collins Hill 63-57 on Saturday.

Brianna Meeks scored 16 points and had eight rebounds. Tiffany Clarke contributed 15 points and 12 rebounds for Norcross. Briana Jordan had 14 points, four rebounds and five steals for the Blue Devils.

Jazmin Walker led Collins Hill with 21 points, four assists and five steals. Marissa Rimbert contributed 13 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles (3-2).

Duluth 64, Wheeler 45

DULUTH - Alex Shaw led Duluth with 13 points as the Wildcats topped Wheeler 64-45 on Saturday.

Alex Phillips scored 12 points and Mykala Walker added 11 for Duluth (5-2).


Dacula wins third straight tournament

FLOWERY BRANCH - Dacula won its third straight tournament and went undefeated for the day at the Flowery Branch Tournament on Saturday.

Dacula beat Flowery Branch (48-24), East Hall (50-27), Towers (64-15), St. Pius (50-25) and Habersham (43-30).

Yadier Torres (171) clinched the win against Habersham with a pin. Brandon Bullock (103), Noah Hunt (119), Dale Miller (125), Vitaliy Yarmurity 135), Zeke Hunt (152) and Bryson Turner (215) were undefeated for the day.

Grayson finishes second

FAYETTEVILLE - Grayson finished second in the Starr's Mill Panther Invitational on Saturday.

Zachary George (140) and Paul Ardila (189) went undefeated, and Nick Isburgh (119) and Roman Mangini (135) were second-place finishers for the Rams.

George and Ardila remain undefeated for the season.

Berkmar goes undefeated

BOGART - Berkmar finished first in the North Oconee Duals on Saturday and improved its record to 9-3.

Berkmar defeated North Oconee (36-34), Jackson (40-39), West Hall (51-24), Dawson County (42-29) and Monroe Area 64-12.

Landon Dao (103), Bryan Dao (125), Enrique Martinez (135), Bobby Harris (189) and Freddie Lambert (215) were each 5-for-5, and Michael Sealand (171) and Justin Malone (285) were 4-1 for Berkmar.

Collins Hill beats five in dual meet

MARIETTA - Collins Hill beat McEachern (74-0), Mill Creek (71-10), Valdosta (75-0), Walton (65-9) and Pope (54-9) at the Walton Duals on Saturday.

Partridge Bazelle, Allen Willard, P.J. Mitchell, John Allgood, Joel Smith, Taylor Knapp, Gary Tiller, Nick Holbert, C.J. Collins, Thomas DeLain, Jamie Hertica and Caleb Sawchuk all went undefeated for the Eagles.

Mitchell, Willard, Smith, Collins, Mac Bennett and Joseph Doyague each had three pins and Holbert had five pins for Collins Hill.
