"Wanted" 2-disc special edition (R)
Disc: 4 stars out of 4 Movie: 4 stars out of 4 Picking up where he left off with the "Night Watch" vampire franchise, Russian director Timur Bekmambetov continues to blur the lines between live-action photography and CGI effects. "Wanted" takes the sarcastic, self-doubt nihilism of "Fight Club" and mixes it with the trippy, existential head games of "The Matrix" to incredible effect. Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman are high-end assassins charged with recruiting and honing the skills of a bumbling loser (James McAvoy). Everything that looked so impossible on screen is laid out in detail on the bonus disc, making this DVD a must-own. Technical specifications: aspect ratio: Widescreen (2.35:1), audio: English (Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0), French and Spanish (Dolby Digital 5.1) subtitles: English, French and Spanish. Special features: · Extended scene · Special Effects: The art of the impossible · Cast and characters · Stunt on the L Train · Wanted: Motion comics · Digital copy feature (Paramount, $34.99.)More like this story
