The 26th annual 11Alive Can-A-Thon is calling for canned food donations.
Those who would like to donate nonperishable and canned goods to the cause have until 7 p.m. today to do so. Donations are being accepted at Discover Mills Mall, 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville, where 11Alive is broadcasting live and entertainment is planned throughout the day, including a performance from "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy." Players for the Georgia Force will also be on hand to sign autographs from noon to 1 p.m.
This year's drive is a partnership between 11Alive, Publix, The Salvation Army and Discover Mills Mall and is expected to bring in more than 130,000 pounds of food.
