People Helping People: GET GAS, GIVE HOPE

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - Black Friday isn't the only day to get great deals. Right here in Gwinnett County $100 worth of gas rebates can be yours for a donation of $100 or more to the Hi-Hope Service Center.

Donating helps the community for "free." Your donation is a win-win situation for everyone: the adults in need of your financial support are given help and you get free gas or other purchases at a gas station of your choice. Any portion of a donation of more than $100 is tax deductible.

Hi-Hope supports adults with developmental disabilities through many different programs and services. Its Community Employment program seeks to match the clients with an appropriate job in order to fulfill their employment goals. Through this program, clients are guided through the process of choosing, obtaining and succeeding in a paid employment position within the community. Individualized job coaching is available to assure success in the work setting.

The workshop is a day program which develops pre-employment skills and access to the community. While learning or developing valuable skills, clients are earning money and building self-confidence.

The Day Habilitation Program is a comprehensive training program for adults with severe developmental disabilities. Areas of skill development include social, self-help, communication, mobility, and safety. Most importantly, these men and women give back to the community by regularly delivering Meals On Wheels.

For individuals with disabilities wishing to achieve independence, living in a residential setting within the local community is a dream come true. Hi-Hope offers a wide variety of living arrangements to suit the needs and desires of our residents: to live in Host Homes, Group Homes, and Supported Living arrangements.

The Personal Support program provides services to individuals in their own homes. The staff assists clients in choosing activities that will enhance their personal lives.
