NORCROSS - James Bond won't be there, but you could spot his car at the British Car Fayre next weekend.
Norcross's downtown streets will be filled with Jaguars, Rolls-Royces, Aston Martins, Bentleys and MGBs for the event, hosted by the Taste of Britain shop, along with the Iron Horse Tavern and the British American Business Group and Soccer in the Streets. Edna Berkshire, the Londoner who owns the Norcross shop, said she hopes to have about 150 cars in for the event Saturday. "It's a fun event. Enthusiasts love to hang out together and look at the cars," said the owner of her own '73 MGB. "Everybody loves the setting here in this lovely town." The winner of a contest will even get two round-trip tickets to London. While the general public can attend the event for free, the optional $15 per car online price and $20 on the day of the event will go to Soccer in the Streets. Entertainment includes performances by the Dixie Kings and The Ballybeg Band, a Celtic group. For more information, visit www.babg.org/britishcarfayre.htm.More like this story
