4 shot in separate incidents Man fatally shot at eatery; toddler, adult wounded

DULUTH - Police found four shooting suspects near Gwinnett Place Mall on Saturday night. In the two incidents, one person was left dead and two adults and a toddler were sent to the hospital.

Road closures

· Cedars Road from Georgia Highway 8/U.S. Highway 29/Winder Highway to Rockhouse Road will require intermittent lane closures through August for force main improvements, weather permitting. 50th anniversary

Jimmy and Rita Stripling of Dacula celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple married July 31, 1958, in Columbus. Jimmy is enjoying retirement after working for more than 30 combined years with BellSouth in Columbus and AT&T in Atlanta. Rita is a homemaker and volunteers at Hebron Baptist Church. They have three children: Gary Stripling of Jacksonville, Fla., Debra Stripling of Lawrenceville and Jennifer Stripling Howard of Jefferson. They also have four grandchildren: Emily and Elliott Stripling and Alex and Lauren Howard. The couple will celebrate their anniversary with a trip at a resort in Hawaii.
