DACULA - A man was ejected and killed at the scene of a multi-car collision on Ga. Highway 316 early Wednesday.
The man, who was not identified, was driving a white Mercury westbound about 5 a.m. when his car struck a semi trailer, crossed the median and collided with a second semi headed the other direction, police said. "At some point, the vehicle also struck a green passenger car with two occupants," said Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman. The man was ejected near Harbins Road in Dacula, where he died before emergency responders could transport him, Spellman said. Police are unsure what triggered the initial collision. "The investigation is still in its infancy," Spellman said. Two people in the green car received minor injuries but refused medical treatment. No other injuries were reported, according to police. The man's identity will be withheld until his family is notified, Spellman said.More like this story
