Mr. Joel W. Martin, age 41, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2008 after a sudden illness at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Everett “John D.” Martin. He is survived by his: wife of 6 years: Mrs. Marie Martin, Buford, GA, mother: Mrs. Judy Puckett Martin, Buford, GA, aunts and uncle: Sue and Harold Puckett, Buford, GA, Bernice Terry Puckett, Suwanee, GA, Ethel Justice Puckett, Buford, GA, uncles and aunts: Walter “Sparky” and Jean Martin, Buford, GA, Rev. Mickey Mayfield, Jefferson, GA, Larry and Brenda Puckett, Sugar Hill, GA, mother-in-law: Lynne Bezner, Syracuse, NY, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Michelle and Chris Cretaro, Kirkville, NY, Debbie and Rick Holland, Phoenix, NY, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Steve and Donna Bezner, Syracuse, NY, Rich Bezner, Syracuse, NY, Jim Bezner, Syracuse, NY, Ray Bezner, South Carolina. Mr. Martin was born October 27, 1966 in Hall County, GA. He was a 1985 graduate of Buford High School. He was an electronic technician. He was a former employee of Boeing Aerospace, Inc. for thirteen years and he also worked for American Panel Corporation for seven years. He was an avid fan of car stereos and drums. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johnson and Rev. Edward Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Gwinnett Humane Society in memory of Mr. Joel W.
