Mr. James F. “Jim” Thomas, age 74, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008. He is survived by his: wife of 39 years: Mrs. Carolyn Wells Thomas, Buford, GA daughter: Sheila Simonds, Buford, GA sons and daughters-in-law: David M. and Robin Thomas, Lawrenceville, GA James F. Thomas, Jr., Maysville, GA Randall E. Thomas, Leesburg, GA Tim Britt, Buford, GA Jason and Misty Thomas, Buford, GA. 20 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren: sisters and brother-in-law: Peggy Grimes, Blakely, GA Betty and Mack Granger, Blakely, GA several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Thomas was born January 16, 1934 in Houston County, AL. He was a retire plumbing contractor, homebuilder, and cattle farmer. He was a member of Lilburn Oaks Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Page officiating. Interment will follow in East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shrine's Children Hospital Foundation in memory of Jim Thomas. arrangements by: Junior E.
