Gwinnett Daily Post
LAWRENCEVILLE - After his debut in 1993, Edwin McCain climbed the music charts with his top 10 hit "I'll Be" and his top 40 song "I Could Not Ask For More," and Gwinnett residents can hear the platinum-selling singer/songwriter live Saturday night at Suwanee Town Center Park amphitheater.
Promoting "Nobody's Fault But Mine," his latest album featuring 15 cover songs of '50s and '60s soul music, McCain said he's looking forward to the outdoor concert.
"I love playing outside," he said. "I love playing in general."
McCain will be joined by Atlanta-based performers Gareth Asher and Sam Thacker.
"I think it's going to be a nice outdoor night of music," McCain said.
Those who attend the free concert are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners.
Flicks on the Bricks
"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" will be shown on an outdoor screen at Duluth's downtown amphitheater at dusk Saturday as part of the city's Flicks on the Bricks series.
"Lawn chairs and blankets and picnic baskets are all welcome," Duluth downtown manager Elizabeth Rudin said. "Typically we have between 500 to 2,000 attendees," she added.
