SNELLVILLE - Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Snellville church of money collected at a Wednesday evening service.
The man, described as a 6-foot-tall black man in his 20s, weighing about 200 pounds, allegedly snatched an undisclosed amount of money while First Baptist church officials were counting it after a Wednesday night service, according to Snellville police Det. Tim Colgan. No weapon was used in the incident, Colgan said. "This was a snatch and grab," he said. Following the robbery, the man allegedly drove to a nearby gas station where he switched vehicles with an unidentified woman who was later arrested. No further information was released. "We are still in the beginning stages of the investigation," Colgan said.More like this story
