Wayne Sweat, age 58 of Monroe passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, August 6th at Galilean Baptist Church 1390 Monfort Rd. Lawrenceville, GA with Dr. Tolbert Moore, Rev. Sammy Everett and Dr. Rex McPherson officiating. Interment: Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Grayson. Mr. Sweat served as a Deacon at Galilean Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for several years. A retiree of Chrysler Corporation, Morrow, Georgia with 30 years of service, Mr. Sweat was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and was preceded in death by Father: Rev. Robert Sweat of Winder and is survived by Wife of 39 years: Sharon Sweat, Son: Jason Sweat, Daughter and Son-In-Law: Melissa & Bryan Broadnax, all of Monroe, Mother: Louise Sweat, Winder, Brother and Sister-In-Law Bill & Martha Sweat, Lawrenceville, Sister & Brother-In-Law: Tina & Kevin Hadden, Flowery Branch, Grand Children: Breanna & Avery Broadnax, Several Nieces & Nephews. Family will receive friends from 4-8PM Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, Georgia 30052. 770-466-1544.
