Prep roundup: Trio of homers lift Eagles to win

SUWANEE - Michael Adams, Tommy Yeo and Curtis Guest each hit a home run to help the Eagles take a 7-1 win over North Forsyth on Friday.

Garitt Church was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs. Grant Earls (2-1) struck out six batters and gave up three hits in five innings. Reed Buck pitched a scoreless sixth inning and Morgan Ownbey threw a scoreless seventh for Collins Hill (11-13).


Parkview 4, South 2

LILBURN - Parkview beat South Gwinnett 4-2 on Friday.

Kenny Bellavance went 1-for-4 with a triple and Beau Esmonde was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a triple. Brandon Jacobs was 1-for-1 with an RBI double and Brandon Kregal was 2-for-3 with an RBI double for the Panthers. Caleb Shrader was 1-for-2 with an RBI single.

Zach Cone got the win for Parkview after giving up three hits, a run, two walks and striking out eight batters in six innings. Chris Carter got the save after pitching an inning and giving up three hits, a run and striking out one batter for Parkview (18-6).

Kenny Sanderson was 2-for-4 and Michael Moeller was 1-for-1 with a run for South. Aaron Jividen was 1-for-3 and Lance Whatley had a hit and an RBI for the Comets (10-12-1).

Grayson 15, Berkmar 0

GRAYSON - Chase Fortner threw a no-hitter as Grayson shut out Berkmar 15-0 in three innings on Friday.

Shaun Harrison was 3-for-3 with three doubles and five RBIs and Dylan Swords went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Harrison Hardwick was 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI and Matt Milligan was 2-for-2 with a single and an RBI for Grayson (11-13).

Shiloh 12, Central Gwinnett 7

SNELLVILLE - Josh Carr had three hits and three RBIs as Shiloh (6-17) took a 12-7 victory over Central Gwinnett on Friday.

Vince Wood had two hits and two RBIs, while Eddie Mathis and David Yarbrough each had two hits.

Dychal Bowels started on the mound, but Matt Vollenweider got the win for Shiloh. Josh Carr closed with two innings in relief.

Peachtree Ridge 8, North 4

SUWANEE - Chris Hallum went

2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs as Peachtree Ridge (9-15) defeated North Gwinnett 8-4 on Friday.

Mitch Williford was 3-for-4 with a double and Sterling Jones was 1-for-4 with two RBIs for Peachtree Ridge. David Randall pitched the complete game and gave up five hits, three earned runs and struck out 10 batters.

Meadowcreek 11, North Clayton 8

COLLEGE PARK - Tony Duarte was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs as Meadowcreek topped North Clayton 11-8 on Friday.

Josh Lee was 2-for-3 and Tri Nguyen was 2-for-4. Ethan Parris pitched 42/3 innings and stuck out three, and Lee pitched the last 21/3 inning and struck out three for Meadowcreek (4-12).

Mill Creek 9, Forsyth Central 1

HOSCHTON - Zach Hogan was 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs as Mill Creek won 9-1 over Forsyth Central on Friday.

Matt Tunnell (2-2) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a home run. Cody Clickner pitched six innings and gave up a hit and a run and struck out four for Mill Creek (7-6).

Norcross 11, Duluth 1

DULUTH - Norcross took an 11-1 win over Duluth on Friday night.

Peter Poole was 2-for-4 with a single and a home run and Drew Lennox was 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Danal Slay was 2-for-4 with a single and a triple and Travis Ragsdale was 2-for-4 with a single and a double. Matt Kinney was 1-for-3 with a double.

Jacob Matthews (2-3) struck out nine in four innings and Tyler Roach struck out two batters and gave up an unearned run in three innings for Norcross (16-8).

Hebron 15, Commerce 13

COMMERCE - Mike Wilkerson was 2-for-5 with a home run and two stolen bases to help Hebron take a 15-13 win over Commerce on Friday.

Jon Crawford was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a double and Ben Mason was 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Bobby Cole was 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, an RBI and a double. Danny Lockhart was 3-for-6 with two stolen bases and two doubles for Hebron.

Jamie Holt (6-2) came in at the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded the game tied 13-13. Holt struck out the last batter for Hebron to come back in the 10th to score. Holt got the win and pitched 11/3 innings and gave up a hit and struck out one batter for Hebron (13-8).

Wesleyan 10, Eagles Landing Christian 7

NORCROSS - Drew Fithian pitched four innings in relief and gave up a run and struck out three as Wesleyan took a 10-7 win over Eagles Landing Christian on Friday.

Brent Pugh had a single home run and Conor Welton was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Kevin Ruiz was 2-for-4 with an RBI and James Ramsey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Wesleyan (16-3-1).

Killian Hill sweeps double header

LILBURN - Killian Hill Christian beat Shiloh Hills 13-4 and 12-7 on Friday.

In the first game, Aaron Parks (9-0) got the win after pitching a complete game and giving up a run, a walk and four hits, and striking out five batters.

At the plate, Aaron Parks was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Paul Hudson was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Kyle Bailey was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a double and Chase Williams and Austin Parks both had two RBIs and a single.

During the second game, Bailey was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a two-run home run, while Jeffery Lanier was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a double. Marshall Dickinson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Jared Lewis was 2-for-3 with two doubles for Killian Hill. Dickinson (6-0) pitched five innings and gave up seven hits, two earned runs, three walks and struck out three for Killian Hill (16-0).
