EDITOR'S NOTE - Film Fans features local residents reviewing the film of the week: "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
Three stars out of four "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was probably one of the funnier movies I've seen in some time. Despite having a relatively unknown cast, "FSM" delivers some memorable moments that you just can't help but laugh at. It has a lot of mature content thus fans of "Knocked Up" and "Superbad" will most likely enjoy. Regardless of the title, it won't be easy to forget this movie even though you may want to forget a few scenes with the lead actor. Let's just say you're going to see more of him than you'll ever want to. So if you're looking for a good laugh, remember Sarah Marshall. - Kenny Grams, Lawrenceville Three stars out of four From the makers of "40-Year-Old Virgin," "Superbad" and other hilarious movies, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" follows suit in this extremely funny movie. What I like most about Judd Apatow's films is that he takes semi-funny situations and exploits every minute detail to bring out the deep-seated comedy that's been lying dormant. Much like its predecessors, "Marshall" delivers big laughs from comedically painful circumstances. It's also a mature way of doing "juvenile" comedy, though this movie isn't for the kids. All in all, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is a riot and well worth seeing. - Pedro E. Alvarado, Lawrenceville Three stars out of four Taking the recipe for the traditional romantic comedy and turning it on its head, writer/actor Jason Segel delivers a tale of breakup and heartache from the rarely seen male perspective. Filled with laughs galore and just enough male nudity to make you blush, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is anything but forgettable. It is clever, witty and filled with loveable characters that you can't help but to root for. - Lindsey Rice, Sugar HillMore like this story
