SUWANEE - Taylor Forrester of North Gwinnett went 4-for-4 with three home runs and eight RBIs on Monday night as the Bulldogs beat Norcross 15-5 in five innings for a Region 7-AAAAA win.
Forrester's homers were a solo shot, a two-run shot and a grand slam while he added an RBI single, as the North offense forged out 16 hits. His home runs were his fourth, fifth and sixth of the year.
Christopher Hawkins also went 4-for-4 for North (15-6, 9-4) with two doubles. Ronnie Stewart and Nick Jones each helped with two hits and two RBIs while Will Huff was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Wyatt Brown pitched all five innings for the win, striking out three with three hits and five unearned runs.
Peter Poole led Norcross with a solo home run.
South 3, Shiloh 1
SNELLVILLE - Sean Handlan hit a two-run homer in the top of the fourth to help give South Gwinnett a 3-1 win over Shiloh on Monday in Region 8-AAAAA.
Handlan also pitched seven innings for the win, allowing one unearned run on five hits with nine strikeouts to improve to 4-2.
Nick Blount went 1-for-3 with an RBI for South (10-11-1, 4-4) while Lance Whatley was 2-for-3, Aaron Jividen was 2-for-4 with a run and Brett Teschner went 1-for-3.
Parkview 9, Berkmar 0
LILBURN - Parkview batters hit three home runs and three Parkview pitchers held Berkmar to two hits as the Panthers blanked the Patriots 9-0 on Monday in Region 8-AAAAA.
Brandon Jacobs went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, including a three-run homer, while Tom Richardson was 2-for-4 with a three-run blast. Matt Foster was also 3-for-4 with a solo shot while Zach Cone added an RBI on three hits. Michael Frazier and Beau Esmonde each held their own by going 2-for-4.
Jonathan Parker started for Parkview (17-5, 6-2) and went three innings with no hits, two walks and five strikeouts to run his record to 3-0.
Austin Wheeler added three innings of no-hit relief with a pair of strikeouts while Max Caron pitched a scoreless seventh with two hits.
Brookwood 8, Grayson 0
SNELLVILLE - Chase Hawkins delivered a four-hit shutout Monday as Brookwood topped Grayson 8-0 for a Region 8-AAAAA win.
Jordan Erisman went 3-for-5 to lead the offense, including a double and a two-run homer while Ryan Lewis had three hits with a solo home run. Seth Adkins added a two-run home run while Hawkins went 2-for-3. Brookwood (20-1, 8-0) also had hits from Ronnie Freeman, Buddy Jones and Jon Robinson.
South Forsyth 11, Mill Creek 1
CUMMING - South Forsyth won its sixth straight Monday with an 11-1 win over Mill Creek in five innings in a Region 7-AAAAA game.
South Forsyth had 14 hits with three home runs while Mill Creek was held to two hits. Johnny Knight provided the only run for Mill Creek (15-6, 10-2) with a solo home run. Matthew Grimes started and suffered his first loss of the year, falling to 3-1.
North Forsyth 6, Duluth 3
DULUTH - North Forsyth beat Duluth 6-3 on Monday night in a Region 7-AAAAA battle.
Jacob Mauldin (3-3) started and allowed two earned runs in five innings in taking the loss while John Clark pitched two innings of relief with one earned run for Duluth (3-18, 1-12).
Offensively, Wes Newton was 1-for-2 with two RBIs while Luke Jordan went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Kyle Wilson helped with a pair of doubles while Jared Van Camp went 2-for-2.
Heritage 4, Dacula 0
CONYERS - Heritage pitchers held Dacula to just four hits as the Falcons fell 4-0 on Monday night in a Region 8-AAAA contest.
Erik Shrum pitched well in starting for Dacula (9-13, 8-12) but took the loss, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in five innings. Tyler Jarvis led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a double while Brad Mills and Jeremy Kien each went 1-for-3.
Providence 11, Wesleyan 11
LILBURN - In a game called due to darkness, Providence and Wesleyan ended in an 11-11 deadlock Monday, tying for the second year in a row.
Grayson Garvin had a big game for Wesleyan (14-3-1), going 2-for-3 with seven RBIs and a grand slam while Connor Winn went 3-for-5.
Providence (16-4-1) was led by Tommy Bonner, who was 3-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs. Addison Thomas added two hits and an RBI while Chris Wages was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run. Jonathan Leverett started and allowed one earned run on three hits with two strikeouts in four innings.
Killian Hill 7, Loganville 1
LILBURN - Killian Hill concluded its regular season on Monday with a 7-1 win over Loganville Christian. Killian Hill, which finished 14-0, will open the GCAA state playoffs at home Friday.
Aaron Parks pitched four innings of one-hit ball, allowing one run with five strikeouts in running his record to 8-0. Austin Parks led the charge at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a solo home run. Clay Bailey added two hits and two RBIs while Kyle Bailey finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Wesleyan boys headed to state
SUWANEE - Wesleyan finished second in the Region 6-AA tournament Monday with a score of 317 at Sugar Hill Golf Club, earning a spot in the Class AA state tournament.
Austin Day and Chandler Machemehl each shot 77 for the Wolves while Clay Rowland added an 81 and Trent Parks shot 82.
Lovett, which won the region with a team score of 294, will join Wesleyan on May 5 at Coosa Country Club for the state tournament.
GAC 7, Chattahoochee 3
ALPHARETTA - Scotty Smith scored three goals and Jeffery Johnson added two goals and two assists on Monday as Greater Atlanta Christian beat Chattahoochee 7-3.
The win was GAC's fourth straight and evened its record at 8-8. Christian Fretz added a pair of goals while keeper Shawn Kane had 14 saves.
