Joyce and Larry Smosny of Hoschton announce the engagement of their daughter, Tina Smosny of Lawrenceville, to Lou McGriff of Lawrenceville, son of Josephine McGriff of Newark, N.J.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Leo Smosny of Cleveland, Ohio, and the late Betty Smosny and the late Marie and Ollis Thweatt. She is a 1989 graduate of Brookwood High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Georgia and a 2006 graduate of Troy State University, where she received a master's degree. She is employed by Berkmar High School as a Spanish teacher and a basketball coach. The wedding is planned for Nov. 8 at Cannon United Methodist Church.More like this story
