Claude Leonard Jr. of Savannah and Loretta Rozier Dryden of Savannah announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Leigh Dryden of Athens, to Christopher Matthew Hatcher of Dacula, son of Howard Ray and Judy Tammen Hatcher of Dacula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Virginia Rozier of Hinesville, the late Harold Hampton Rozier, Christine Dryden of Hoboken and the late Claude Leonard Sr. She is a graduate of the Bradwell Institute and is attending the University of Georgia, where she is pursuing a degree in landscape architecture. She is employed by Site Solutions.

The future groom is the grandson of Carol Forbus Hatcher of Greer, S.C., the late Tully Eugene Hatcher, Ruth Nakake Tammen of Fountain Inn, S.C., and the late Donald John George Tammen Sr. He is a graduate of Wheeler High School and the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in psychology. He is the owner and chief instructor at Tomekichi Martial Arts.

The wedding is planned for June 14 in Savannah.
