Life Line Screening offers stroke and osteoporosis screenings
SNELLVILLE - Life Line Screening will offer stroke and osteoporosis screenings April 19 at the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer, located at 3750 Zoar Church Road in Snellville. Appointments begin at 9 a.m.
Screenings identify potential health problems such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and hardening of the arteries in the legs. A bone density screening that assesses osteoporosis risk is also offered and is appropriate for both men and women.

First Walk MS Atlanta holds 5K event at Stone Mountain Park
STONE MOUNTAIN - The Georgia Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will hold its first Walk MS Atlanta event at Stone Mountain Park Saturday. Registration starts at 7 a.m., followed by the walk at 9 a.m.
The 5K walk is the first of seven events which benefit the Georgia Chapter of the National MS Society.
To date, the organization has raised more than $6.4 million, officials say.
