LAWRENCEVILLE - The construction of three new elementary schools won't be complete until this summer, but parents interested in finding more information about the schools can now visit their Web sites.

Rosebud Elementary, Puckett's Mill Elementary and Trip Elementary will open this August in the South Gwinnett, Mill Creek and Grayson clusters, respectively. The construction of the three schools is part of the Gwinnett County school system's plan to relieve overcrowding in its facilities.

"Like you, I have watched with great anticipation as crews work to construct our new learning community," Puckett's Mill principal Michelle Farmer said on the school's Web site. "Today it is just bricks and mortar, but soon our children and teachers will breathe life into the building."

Parents whose children will attend the new schools can attend PTA formation meetings this month. The PTA is an advocacy organization that promotes quality education.

The formation meetings are scheduled as follows:

n Rosebud Elementary's meeting will begin at 7 p.m. today (Monday) in Magill Elementary's media center.

n Puckett's Mill Elementary's meeting will begin at 7 p.m. April 21 in Duncan Creek Elementary's cafeteria.

n Trip Elementary's meeting will begin at 7 p.m. April 22 in Grayson Elementary's cafeteria.
