Mrs. Kathryn Browne Smirl, age 97, of Buford, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William V. Haase and Orville L. Smirl; and son, William S. Haase. She is survived by her Daughter-In-Law: Mrs. Louise C. Haase, Buford, GA; Grandchildren: Kathy and Tim Hughes, Mount Claire, NJ, Stephen Haase, Buford, GA, Andrea L. Haase, Buford, GA; Great Grandchildren: William Blake Hughes, Timothy Hunter Hughes. Mrs. Smirl was born July 29, 1910 in Pulaski County, AR. She graduated from high school in 1927. She was a retired radio and telephone operator and also worked for the Corps of Engineers in Little Rock, AR. She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, AR where she was the first child to be christened in that church and where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery in Little Rock AR with Rev. Atkins Banman officiating. Arrangements by Junior E.
