Faye B. Allin, age 85, of Buford, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, April 5, 2008 in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Langford officiating. Burial will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Allin was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by many. Mrs Allin was preceded in death by her parents- W. V and Dora Brown, husband Dean Allin; brothers- Vincent Brown, Woodrow Brown; sister- Beatrice Samples. She is survived by: Son & Daughter-in-law: Ron & Maureen Allin, Duluth; Daughter & Son-in-law: Beth & Joe Kirchner, Palm Harbor, FL; Sister-in-law: Justine Brown, Buford; Grandchildren: Nicholas Allin, Atlanta, Erik and Sarah Thorsteinson, Breckenridge, CO, Lisa Allin and Fiancé Barry Finley, Atlanta; Great Grandchild: Keira Thorsteinson and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Allin grew up in the Haw Creek Community in Forsyth County and attended Rabun Gap Boarding School. During WWII she worked at Bell Aircraft. She was employed with Eastman Kodak in Chamblee, GA for 30 years. Mrs. Allin had been a member of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was a member of Keenagers. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and worked as an election poll worker.
