The application requests that the properties be zoned General Business District (BG). The properties are presently zoned Single Family Residential District (R-100) in Gwinnett County. The Sugar Hill City Council will consider whether or not to annex the property, and if annexed, what zoning classification to place on the property annexed. The Mayor and City Council has authority to zone the property as requested or place such other zoning classification on the property as they deem appropriate, constitutional, and in the best interest of the citizens of Sugar Hill. The Public is hereby notified that on April 22, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at Suwanee Crossroads Center, 323 Highway 23, the Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments for the 2030 Comprehensive Plan/Community Agenda.

The purpose of this hearing is to brief the community on the contents of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan/Community Agenda, provide an opportunity for residents to make final suggestions, additions or revisions, and notify the community of when the Community Agenda will be submitted to the regional development center for review. The document has been prepared following the Rules of Georgia Department of Community Affairs Standards and Procedures for Local Comprehensive Planning.

On May 27th, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at Suwanee Crossroads Center, the Mayor and Council are scheduled to consider a Transmittal Resolution to forward the 2030 Comprehensive Plan/Community Agenda document to the Atlanta Regional Commission for review and approval.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend the hearing.

The 2030 Comprehensive Plan/Community Agenda will be on file for at Suwanee City Hall, 373 Highway 23, Suwanee, Georgia, and may be viewed by the public between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
