WINDER - More than 100 motorcycle riders helped raise about $8,000 for various Barrow County charities Sept. 15.
The Barrow County Sheriff's Office sponsored the seventh annual Charity Poker Run that took riders from the Barrow County Courthouse to Helen. The best poker hand won $500 with second and third best hands wining $300 and $100 respectively. The money will go to the sheriff's office charitable events committee for distribution to Barrow County charities, said Maj. Murray Kogod.More like this story
