Fire contained to laundry room
SNELLVILLE - Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that began in a basement laundry room Tuesday night. According to a Gwinnett County Fire Department press release, the fire was contained to the laundry room of the home on Gin Way in Snellville. Residents were home at the time but escaped unharmed. Jewelry, money stolen from retiree LAWRENCEVILLE - A assisted living resident reported Monday some of her belongings had been stolen from her room. The 89-year-old retiree said more than $6,000 worth of jewelry and cash was missing from her room at the Courtyard Assisted Living Community on River Center Place in Lawrenceville, a police report said. The woman was unsure who could have take her belongings. Stove taken from rental property DULUTH - A Lawrenceville landlord believes a former tenant took the stove from the home he rents on Brittney Way in Duluth. According to a police report, the male tenant living at the Duluth home moved two months ago without alerting his landlord. The owner of the Duluth home told police he believes the man took the stove, worth $700, with him when he left. Manager says worker robbed store NORCROSS - Someone stole more than $3,000 from a Norcross restaurant, and the store manager suspects an employee of the theft. The manager of the Firehouse Subs on Holcomb Bridge Road said someone with access to alarm and safe pass codes entered the store Monday, taking money from the safe then locking up and setting the alarm behind themselves, according to a police report. The manager told police after checking which pass code was used to enter the store, the thief could be either a current or past employee.More like this story
