Macon McCollister Ogletree, Jr., age 93 of Lawrenceville, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Born April 1, 1914 in Anniston, AL, Mr. Ogletree was in the poultry business with his father in Jacksonville, AL, Cumming, GA and Lawrenceville, GA. He started Ogletree's Supermarkets in 1964 in Sandy Springs, Cobb County and Dunwoody. He was a Christian since his teen years and a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and a member of the Lawrenceville Masonic Lodge. Survivors include: Wife of 62 years: Rosalyn D. Ogletree; Daughters & Son-in-law: Elizabeth Ogletree, Lawrenceville, Martha & Jack Hamilton, Covington; Sons & Daughters-in-law: Thomas W. & Patsy Ogletree, Lawrenceville, Macon & Adrian Ogletree, III, Social Circle, and Louis and Grace Ogletree, Banner Elk, NC; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, September 21, 2007 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Dr. David Poe will officiate. Burial Shadowlawn Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
