BUFORD - Apple will open its first retail store in Gwinnett County on Saturday, company spokespersons said Wednesday.
The store, located on the upper level of the Mall of Georgia near Dick's Sporting Goods, will open to the public at 10 a.m.
The store will feature the company's latest products, including iPods, iPhones and Macintosh computers, as well as offer personal training, workshops and face-to-face technical support.
Amy Barney, a spokeswoman for Apple, said Apple retail stores usually have large turnouts at their grand openings, and the company expects the same at the Buford location.
The store will give free Apple T-shirts to the first 1,000 visitors.
This will be Apple's fourth store in Georgia. Two are located in Atlanta - one at Perimeter Mall and another at Lenox Square Mall - and one is located in Alpharetta at North Point Mall.
Apple has more than 170 stores worldwide.
The Mall of Georgia is the largest mall in the Southeast and has more than 200 stores.
