Teens charged with defacing property

NORCROSS - Two teens are suspected of defacing a wall with graffiti at the Norcross Post Office.

James Steven Pinto, 18, of Duluth and Lon Charles Cross Jr., 18, of Norcross are charged with interfering with government property and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, an arrest warrant said.

According to an affidavit, the pair spray painted a concrete wall at the Post Office on Mitchell Road.

Both have been release on bond from the Gwinnett County Jail.

Elderly woman robbed at Buford home

BUFORD - A woman complaining of a flat tire and wanting to use a 82-year-old Duluth woman's phone allegedly robbed the woman Wednesday, a police report said.

The Duluth woman said a woman with dark, curly hair knocked on her door and asked to use the phone before pulling a 6-inch-blade knife and demanding money, according to the report.

The woman gave her all the cash she had - $6 from her purse - before the armed woman demanded more.

The woman fled from the home on Old Suwanee Road when the homeowner told her she had a friend who would be arriving at the home soon.

Pizza delivery man robbed

LILBURN - A pizza delivery man said he was robbed Wednesday while making a delivery at a home on Kenneth Drive in Lilburn.

According to a police report, the 19-year-old delivery man for The Loop Pizza Grill in Stone Mountain told police a black woman and black man drove up to him as he was exiting his vehicle and asked for directions to U.S. Highway 78.

The man exited his four-door Honda pointing a handgun at the teen, demanding he lay on the ground.

The couple took the teens' wallet, keys, cell phone and the pizza before leaving.

The 19-year-old described the pair as being in their late teens.
