NORCROSS - Brenau University's Atlanta campus has a new home in Norcross.
The Gainesville-based liberal arts institution recently moved the satellite campus to the Technology Corporate Campus park at 3130 Campus Drive, Suite 300, in Norcross, said David Morrison, Brenau's director of communications and publications.
About 350 students attend the evening and weekend programs at the Norcross site, which offers undergraduate and graduate programs in education, business and interior design, Campus Director David Barnett said.
"It's great," said Barnett, who is also the college's associate vice president of evening and weekend programs. "It's nice to be a new, clean facility. The other location was not very easily accessible, and the direct access makes it easier (to get to the campus)."
Most students at the school are adults who have full-time employment, Barnett said. The campus offers classes in the evenings Monday through Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday.
Brenau, which has been open for 129 years, also operates satellite campuses in Augusta and Kings Bay and has offered classes near Atlanta since 1972, Barnett said.
The school has been ranked for three consecutive years as the 10th-best higher education value in the southeast by U.S. News and World Report. Mercer University is the only other school in Georgia to have a higher ranking, Morrison said.
